Africa Calls and Ride Botswana event January 19

By | 2017 Safaris, Botswana | No Comments

Please join Christina and Babette Alfieri on Thursday, January 19th from 6:00 – 7:30PM at The Club at Las Campanas for an evening with our special guests, David and Robyn Foot, professional safari operators visiting from Botswana where they operate unique camping and horseback adventure safaris through their company, Ride Botswana. David will give an informal visual presentation about the special areas they know so well in this stunning part of the world.

Africa Calls is delighted to be partnering with Singer Rankin, Founder of World Women Work here in Santa Fe. We have designed a fabulous safari August 23 – September 7, 2017 that features a week with David camping in the Okavango combined with a week in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park.  Babette will feature highlights from this as well as what’s new with conservation and family safaris in our favorite areas in Africa.

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Please RSVP by clicking this link.

About David and Robyn Foot

Born and raised in Africa, David and Robyn Foot have lived and worked in some of Africa’s greatest wildlife areas; Kafue and South Luangwa in Zambia, Matusadona and Mana Pools in Zimbabwe, and then for 15 years in the Nyika National Park in Malawi.  Botswana is now home where they are able to combine their love of horses and walking safaris with the African wilderness and their family.

“Our journey through Africa over the last 50 years has led us to settle in Botswana, a vast country of few people with endless wilderness and some of the highest concentrations of wildlife to be found anywhere on the continent.” – David Foot

WorldWomenWork Safari to Zambia & Botswana August 23 – September 7, 2017

Africa Calls and WorldWomenWork have joined together to offer a magnificent safari adventure to some of Africa’s last remaining unspoiled wilderness areas in Zambia and Botswana, far from the all too common places where mass tourism and commercialization have had an indelible effect.  Staying in remote hidden corners of spectacular national parks and private concessions, the world of big and small game will be experienced primarily on foot safaris with highly skilled and knowledgeable naturalists and guides.  Open vehicle safaris day and night and canoe trips will also be offered. Camps are small and intimate and located in unforgettable settings of great scenic beauty.

16 Days in Africa Highlights

  • 1 night on Sindabezi Private Island near Victoria Falls on the Zambian side.
  • 3 nights in Botswana’s unique World Heritage site, The Okavango Delta.  Walking safaris.
